For as long as I can remember, I’ve been passionate about business
It was during my time as a young corporate lawyer – when I was involved in a lot of high-powered business deals, advising some of the UK’s most successful companies, entrepreneurs and business owners – that I got well and truly bitten by the entrepreneurial bug!
Every day, I was surrounded by people who had created businesses and lifestyles that most of us only dream of. They were making huge amounts of money and, incredibly, had the time to enjoy it.
I decided the time was right to grab a piece of the action and, much to the horror of my parents and my boss at the time, I quit my high-flying corporate job after just five years, with a plan to start my own business.
I would leave behind forever the overworked and stressful corporate world of never-ending meetings, travel and late nights. I desperately needed to give more time to my wife and one-year-old son and believed this was the way to do it.
Out of the frying pan…
Desire and enthusiasm are one thing, but I was wrong to have believed I would be leaving the exhaustion and stress behind. My ride into entrepreneurship was anything but smooth.
The first three years were rough. I was making decisions ‘on the hoof’ and was totally unprepared for the long hours without pay. All my hard-earned savings were ploughed into the business and my day-to-day living expenses were piled on credit cards (not something I recommend you ever do!).
I struggled with botched projects and poor results. The stress and disappointment were getting harder and harder to bear. I had no-one to ask for advice and the sense of self-doubt was overwhelming. The success I had convinced myself was just around the corner never came and I was beginning to feel like a failure for the first time in my life.
When I talked to other business owners, they said, “that’s how it is” and, to my amazement, many of them were perfectly prepared to accept break-even returns and even losses as the norm.
I remember thinking: why did I leave my safe, well-paid corporate job for this? I was working harder than ever – where was that wonderful work/life balance that my lawyer clients had made look so effortless?
“Perseverance, secret of all triumphs.” Victor Hugo
The last thing I wanted to do was admit defeat and ask my old boss for my job back, so I decided to give it one more chance before throwing in the towel.
I knew that there had to be a better way to do things. I had already read the business books, been to the courses and listened to all the advice out there, but it didn’t help. It was just the same old stuff being repeated by so-called experts.
I wasn’t interested in theories. I was only concerned with real success backed by tangible, solid results. I needed to learn how business and money worked in the real world.
Clearly, those successful entrepreneurs and business owners were doing something different to me. They were making much better profits and spending a lot less time managing their business affairs, and it wasn’t just luck. They had managed to accomplish so much with the same 24 hours a day and 365 days a year that I had. Their businesses were hugely successful and ran like clockwork even when they weren’t there.
So, I began to study what they were doing differently. What did they all have in common that set them apart?
It’s said that the moment when you feel like giving up is right before your breakthrough
I set about relentlessly studying and applying the strategies and practices of the worlds highest achievers (in business, sports, politics and life). I desperately wanted the blueprint for their success.
After a frustrating and challenging year of trial and error, I finally had a breakthrough.
I had spotted and aligned the 3 most important success factors at play – those key drivers of success – that pretty much all the successful people in the world had in common.
I now know that ANYONE can be successful (not just in business, but all areas of life: including health, money, careers, relationships, personal finance and more) by just focusing on 3 drivers of success, which are: Mindset, Body and Action. When applied together and for a consistent period of time, success will be exponentially easier and quicker to achieve.
Implementing the 3 drivers of success enabled me to turn my business and work/life balance around, at a time when I was on my knees. Within a relatively short period of time, I was able to stave off potential early failure and transform my business and life into the successes they are today.
Fast forward to today and I have a portfolio of highly-profitable, multi-million-pound businesses that I’m passionate about. The businesses are not only highly profitable and stress-free to manage, but also grow year on year while taking up very little of my own time. They give me the time, money and freedom to enjoy life – the reason I started the businesses in the first place.
I’m happier, healthier and stronger than I’ve ever been and loving every minute of the life I’ve created for myself. I have much more free time and money to do all the things I love, like learning martial arts with my children, cycling with my friends and going to the gym whenever I want. I can take a week off work or go travelling whenever I feel like it with my wife and kids.
I’m still not sure if it was luck or stubborn persistence through desperation that led to me discovering the Mindset, Body and Action approach to achieving success. Whichever it was, doesn’t really matter now. What matters is that I’m truly grateful for the discovery and the impact its having.
My award winning business
In 2007, having achieved a degree of financial freedom and with some spare time on my hands, I founded the award-winning letting agency, Intire, which has won Gold in the Sunday Times Letting Agency of the Year Awards a record four times in a row! The business manages more than 50 million pounds worth of property and collects in excess of £2.5 million in rental income each year on behalf of UK landlords.
More recently, I put the Mindset, Body and Action approach into play for my property development business. This has, to date, delivered over £4.25m of new-build rental apartment blocks, which have rolled straight into my property investment portfolio – taking that business to a 8 figures assets valuation.
Believe in yourself and your potential
I’m proud of what I’ve achieved. I’m from a working-class background and was told by my careers teacher at school that, despite having some fairly decent grades, I shouldn’t go to university – especially to study law – because “it would be a step too far for someone like me”. I wasn’t exactly sure what she meant at the time, but I went on to study at one of the best law schools in the UK and practice law at one of the leading corporate firms. I’d love to meet that teacher today to tell her just how wrong she was about people.
My journey along the entrepreneurial roller coaster has given me a set of values and beliefs that guide the way I now run my businesses and live my life. I believe EVERYONE has the potential to be super-successful in whatever field they choose. With consistent and persistent action towards your end goal, absolutely anything is possible, so don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
Take action to win
If you want to change the results you’re getting in your business and your life, you need to change your actions.
Through the free resources and materials on this website, I’m now sharing with fellow entrepreneurs and business owners all the knowledge and wisdom I’ve learned in a career spanning two decades. In particular, I’m sharing the very systems and strategies (updated and refined over a period of 20 years) that underpin my business and personal success, so others can follow exactly what I’ve done and achieve the same success for themselves.
And the best news is that anyone can learn what I’m sharing. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist – quite the opposite – you simply have to be open to learning and implementing the Mindset, Body and Action approach I teach. I’ve done the hard work and made the mistakes, so you don’t have to.
A helping hand…for free!
Undoubtedly, the best and most effective way to learn is through tailored coaching and mentoring, so if you’re interested in working with me on a one-to-one basis to learn how to adopt and implement my Mindset, Body and Action approach for yourself, take a look at my MBA coaching programme.
But if you’re not ready or able to take that step at the moment, don’t worry, I’m still able to help.
My aim is to give away a large proportion of my material – for free – via this website and make that free material better than 99% of the paid stuff out there!
So, if you’re looking for a place to start, go to my blog page and read some of my articles. In the blog, I share my own ideas and introduce you to the strategies and practices of the world’s highest achievers so you can learn the secrets of their success.

Meanwhile, thanks for reading.
P.S. Don’t get me wrong, my life is not perfect. I still have to manage and deal with the challenging dynamics of business and life and still have moments of self doubt. But, the difference now, is that with my Mindset, Body and Action approach governing my businesses and life, I have the systems and strategies to quickly get back on track and to always keep moving forwards.
